Gross National Happiness (GNH) is an intriguing novelty in a world driven by blind greed and consumerism. Bhutan, since the 1970s, has embarked on a developmental path which will create the conditions for its people to attain happiness. Therefore, it was come out with four main pillars to make this happen: sustainable and equitable socio-economic development, preservation of culture, preservation of environment and good governance.
Bhutan Norter Adventures has through an exhaustive field research developed a tour program with which the outsiders can get the best insight of Bhutan’s GNH policy and how its people and communities strive to live a contented life. The tour takes our guests through several districts, a few towns and dozens of villages to see firsthand the country’s attempt to blend traditional lifestyle with modern development.
